Mentoring program for landscape architects

The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) has joined the ACE Mentor Program as a national sponsor and partner. As part of the program, ASLA will work with high school students, exposing them to career opportunities in landscape architecture, as well as other design and construction professions.

"One of the key factors that makes ACE stand out from other high school mentoring programs is its approach to the construction industry as a whole" said Pamela Mullender, executive director of the program. "This partnership with ASLA further strengthens ACE's mission, which is to introduce students to all aspects of the design and building professions."

The ACE program relies on professional mentors to volunteer their time in order to introduce people, projects and career possibilities to students, targeting minority and underserved populations. The partnership fits with ASLA's mission to advance the practice of landscape architecture through education, advocacy and communication.
